La Alianza and your hostess, Debora, provide well-appointed guest rooms, suites and vacation rentals located on the Pacific Ocean in Baja Sur, Mexico. Inspired by the pristine beauty of this exceptionally green valley, the Sierra Laguna mountain backdrop with the ocean view and sound of the surf–a location meant to be shared and enjoyed by others.
The functional design for privacy, separate entry/bath guest rooms, rustic wood and stone, inviting interiors with fine linens, were greatly influenced by the local needs of this area. First to provide a small boutique-type accommodations on this beach was a large step above the meager camping options.
Sea Turtle preservation efforts led to creating “all things turtle” accents found throughout the property that were consigned to an indigenous pottery artist. This was the beginning of the “alianza” (alliance) with these and other worthy causes in this third world country. The reciprocal to share and “give back” mission drives the La Alianza concept.
Beside the enjoyment guests take away and thanks to their contribution though bookings, many wonderful benefits have evolved. The Mexican government recognized a local artist, Cuco, for his La Alianza work with grants to create a “sea turtle habitat” display at the Todos Santos Cultural Center and several local school turtle education & pottery workshops for children.
Sharing La Alianza with you contributes to eco conservation efforts, promotes indigenous artists and supports many children’s activities, as well as, helps El Pescadero residents adjust with the changes brought by new development and ways to improve our small community.
Over a decade of permanent residency has given our hostess a wonderfully rich life due to the “color”, culture of the Mexican people and life style. There are so many stories and amazing happenings that keep us here totally enthralled, amazed and laughing.
